Here's what to do right now

Check for a tag. Look for a QR disc on the collar. If you see one, open your phone camera and scan it — it opens the pet's profile instantly with the owner's number.

Keep the pet calm and safe. Don't chase. Crouch down, offer water if you have it, and keep them away from traffic.

Call us or WhatsApp a photo. We'll cross-check against lost pet reports from NPC members and help you find the owner.

Take the pet to a partner vet if it's injured. Show your phone — NPC partner vets will provide first aid and hold the pet safely until the owner is found.

Call us immediately. We'll broadcast a lost alert to all NPC members in your area and post on our community groups.

Share a clear photo on WhatsApp — face, coat colour, any markings, last known location, and the time they went missing.

Check nearby partner vets and shelters. Someone may have already brought your pet in. Call the shelters listed below.

If your pet has a QR collar tag — anyone who scans it with their phone camera will see your number immediately and can call you directly. Make sure your number is up to date in your member profile.

What to do while you wait for help.
Observe from a distance first
A frightened animal may bolt if approached too quickly. Stay calm, crouch low, avoid direct eye contact, and let the pet approach you when it feels safe.
Offer water, not food
You don't know if the pet has allergies or dietary needs. Water is always safe. Avoid milk, chocolate, grapes, onion, or spicy food entirely.
Check for injuries carefully
An injured animal may bite even if friendly normally — approach slowly and watch body language. If there are wounds, take the pet to a vet immediately rather than treating at home.
Post in local groups
Share on Resident Welfare Association WhatsApp groups, Facebook neighbourhood pages, and tag @namma_pets_club on Instagram. The more eyes, the faster the reunion.
Stay near where you found them
Pets often circle back to familiar spots. If you can, stay in the area for 30–60 minutes after alerting people. The owner may be actively searching nearby.
Check for a microchip
Any vet can scan for a microchip in under 60 seconds — it's free. If the pet has one, the vet can look up the registered owner. All NPC partner vets will do this at no cost.
